APOTHEOSIS

Sophia is part of a cult that believes in their members' elevation to apotheosis by either living an exemplary life of great achievement that inspires many or "dying a famous death". Mike Etasi, the provost of another organisation that is a secret society, is in pursuit of a long lost artefact that would make him almost immortalised. Sophia uses Etasi as bait in her bid to generate debate at her time of death, and thus succeeds in "dying famous", her quest for apotheosis all but fulfilled.
