Amazing story reflecting what happens in the society. Am glad that Bahati was able to start over.

Bahati's life is an enlightenment to our society where the courage to walk out when it pricks in marriage is not there. She speaks volumes not only to women but to men as well. It ends in a dilemma, I like the story.

Ultimately, Bahati had to get away from the toxic marriage. Though Joseph has become insensitive, he wasn't this way before. What if Bahati had taken him to counselor? Who knows something might be disturbing him. Today's marriages are prone to disintegration what we call, "Leaving too early." Congratulations Habiba. This is a wonderful piece worth reading a million times.

Thank heavens Bahati had the courage to walk out at long last. She should have done that before. What if Joseph had used the knife on her? We should not wait for something to happen first. Toxic marriages are there to stay and one should walk out as early as possible if they've done enough. I love the justice that comes at the end. Furaha will be affected, I know that. But, that's a story for another day. Well written.
