We Shall See

A story of a young professional who falls in love with a con man is touching and full of pathos. Her inexperience with life, men, and sex show her naïveté and isolation. This recipe is indeed ripe for emotional abuse straightaway. The scene where the husband calls the police to frighten her is so sad, I cried. I also loved the character of the friend (Tracey) who helps put the horrible husband in his place. Tracey also introduces the protagonist to a new word - “fucking.” That certainly added an endearing touch. I look forward to reading more from this author.
