The Pond

I enjoyed this very much. Unusual, in that a man wrote it, but from a woman's perspective. Nice humorous descriptive sentences: 'Did they expect white rhinos to miraculously appear and drink there, before lumbering off to save themselves from extinction by copulating amongst the golden rod?' and 'I suppose I was expecting to see a finished pond, its waters all a-shimmer in the evening light.' Nice clipped ending without superfluous description. Good effort.
