The Intruder

This is a well written story which has a sense of immediacy, of urgency, from the very first paragraph. There are only two characters in it, and the dynamic between them as they ‘negotiate’ with each other captures the claustrophobia of the dangerous situation in which the story takes place. It’s clever because the background or familial inheritance of one of the characters is saved until quite late, but is highly relevant to his own perspective and personality. I really liked this clever, cohesive, fast paced piece of work. It’s perfectly self-contained and tightly written- highly recommended. Author- more please!
