Eldwych Monson claims to have discovered the secret of time travel, and is bringing back artefacts from the past. There are powerful forces who stand to lose everything because of his discovery, whereas unscrupulous businesses could make fortunes from it. Some people might pay handsomely for such a machine. Has he really invented a time machine? Quite often things are not what they seem, and in this time travel riddle the greed of people may very well be their undoing. Monson’s Time Machine explores the paradox of time travel from a unique perspective, weaving around Coleridge's The Rime of the Ancient Mariner a modern parable of greed and betrayal…..has Monson really solved the paradox of time travel? Can he really travel in time? Or is there something more sinister in his claims.
