I am just like you

It is the story of my “double life” as a professional person with a severe drug habit, including prescription medication but also heroin and crack. I talk about how this has been my life for 20 years, how I first was introduced to it, how my addiction developed, how I got clean in rehab and stayed clean for 9 years and what lead me to relapsing and what relapsing felt like. I fear there are many people in the work place, possibly in stressful, responsible positions suffering and feeling ashamed as they have a family to support and they are responsible for the career development of others while they are hiding substance/alcohol misuse issues. I have been there and I want to reach those people so they know they are not alone.
